Can one make custom modifications to Yahoo! Avatars?

Anyone know if there's a way to use photo editing or drawing software to make one's own customizations, not just trying on the different pre-fab elements that Yahoo! already provides? For whatever reason, while Yahoo! seems to have every possible piece of clothing, hair color, etc., they offer almost no flexibility for men's facial hair. They have a little "soul patch," a kind of slightly unshaven look, and a white Santa beard (not able to change its color). No option for us guys with full beards.

I don't know of a way to edit what Yahoo provides but you can always download any drawing or photo that you have at your 360 account.

In case you didn't know about that option:

You have to have a 360 account. Click on the words "My Profile" at the upper right hand side of the page; then, when it takes you there, click "Edit My Info."

There will be an option for "create your 360 account" or to use your avatar. Once you have a 360 account, you can load photos.
