Mens hair products go through trends.... trends that many in the rest of the country catch onto much later on after they have been in LA for a while.

That is just how it is.."I" didn't invent it.

Its no big giant trend, its just what "look" the Products are showing off.....whether the look is the "wet" look or "shiny" or the "matte" look

MATTE is the way we are going right now.

How short is short? Is it a 2 - 3 inches long? or are you talking 1 inch long....? Take the longest piece of hair on your head and measure it.....

Are you using the product to hold it in place? or to give it a look of texture?

#1 is MAGIC MOVE, a trippy product made in japan...i've only ever found it ONLINE....there are 3 strengths%26gt; match it to your hair type...it is MATTE .

#2 TIGI's Bedhead Manipulator. Is still one of the best products for the boys. Get the big tub, its a better deal
