I actually kind of like the look and am proud of my grey hair. I'm going grey at the temples like Stan Lee, Mr. Fantastic (Fantastic Four) and J. Jonah Jameson (Spider-Man). My wife thinks I should use "Just For Men" or some other men's hair dye, but I think that's vanity and just want to let my hair go grey naturally. What do you think I should do?
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I've found that most of the just for men stuff tends to look very fake and awkward...I used to think that grey hair ought to be dyed and nagged my dad into using it...it looked terrible and was so obvious. Keep the grey, it makes men look distinguished!
p.s. I love that all your grey role models are comic book characters! %26lt;3
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? If you're comfortable with the grey, then I say let it go grey naturally. Lots of men look great with a bit of grey in their hair, especially if their original color is dark.
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I'm in my forties and I look at every grey hair as a badge or something I've earned. I think you should remain proud of every strand and let your freak flag fly!
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? Well, I rarely listen to anything my wife tells me, so I say do what you want. Guys don't dye their hair that's a girl thing anyway.
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? Some men do look very distinguished with grey hair . A touch of grey at the temples on a 42 year old man is sexy. Keep your hair nicely cut and combed. You will look just fine. Now if she is talking divorce that is anothe story. Go bald. That is even sexier. (:
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? No, the grey hair at the temples makes you look sophisticated. Look at George Clooney. He wouldn't dream of dying his hair and neither should you.
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? No be proud of your grey.I 'm 39 and have been going grey since 20.I say no to dye.Unless it affects you job don't do it.
Then you also have to do it all the time.I say better grey than bald!!!
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? do you boo. if you like the gray look then leave it
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? Why does your wife want you to dye your hair? Does she find your grey embarrassing? Not that that is really your problem if she does (she should love you and be proud of you no matter what color your hair is if you have a good relationship otherwise), but if it is going to affect your relationship you may have to consider which is more important, your pride in your grey, or your relationship with your wife.
Of course, on the flip side of that, she should take into account your feelings about dying your hair in regards to vanity. While it seems like such a little thing, you two should probably discuss it in depth so that you both clearly understand how and why the other feels as they do.
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I know many people that think a little grey shows a sign of maturity and it actually very attractive. However, it is YOUR hair and so you should decide what to do with it. Also, I have noticed that most men who dye their hair at home tend to end up with a fake looking job. Therefore, I suggest that if you do dye it, go to a salon and get it professionally done!!
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? Listen to the wife. When she realizes the graying temples makes a man look sophisticated she'll beg you to go natural and tell her friends how sexy you look.
Trust me - I did the same thing!
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I know more and more men are dying their hair these days. It's not just for women any more.
Whatever I think doesn't matter too much because it's not me you have to live with.
Compromise maybe: Tell your bride you'll do it one time just for the two of you to see how it looks. But go to a men's salon and have it done right. Maybe for her birthday. Surprise her! Ha!
Be comfortable.

42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I am 43, my hair too started greying at the age of 39. My wife forced me to dye and today all my hair has turned grey. not only this ,i have severe dandruff problem as the skin of my head is effected by the chemicals of the dye. I have stopped dying and my staff members say i look much better and natural without that.
If you really cannot avoid then go for a patch test of your skin as it differs from men to men . secondly ask your friends and relatives who can see you whether you will look better with a dye or without it. I feel at 43 few greyhair gives a better and normal look that whole brown or black artificial colored .
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I think it looks pretty natural on guys...the grey at the temples. But since your not like 60 years old I think you could pass the look of no grey hair and still look pretty natural. I think you and your wife are both right. I say Dye your hair with the Just For Men...besides if you don't like it it'll grow out anyway.
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? I used to use 'Just For Men", My brother said it looked gay, so i quit LOL
42-years-old, going grey the the temples, wife says to dye my hair... should I do so? Do what YOU want to do.
If it affects being promoted, however - dye it.
